Meet the Maker:
Laura and Eric Sorkin began producing syrup in 2009 in Northwestern Vermont. Since then they've grown their operation to be a leading producer of innovatively infused, smoked and barrel-aged syrups, as well as maple cocktail mixers and bitters.
Runamok is continuously expanding the boundaries of maple with their line of infused, smoked and barrel-aged syrups, as well as their line of maple cocktail mixer and bitters. When they entered the retail market in 2015, they set out to take maple places it had never been before – infusing it with classic combinations of premium ingredients.
Realizing they were on to something, Laura and Eric called on their experience in cuisine and world travel to step out of the realm of tradition and infuse their syrup with new and innovative flavors. They also experimented with barrel-aged and smoked varieties – and the results were phenomenal.
They continue to innovate and press the boundaries of how maple syrup can be used in everyday life. Several times a year, the R&D team creates limited release products (such as their sparling syrup!) that are sure to bring extra fun and celebration to your table.
