Moglea is an Iowa-based design studio run by Meg and Chad Gleason. They focus on the craft of artful paper goods, and production processes are done by hand making each piece feel one-of-a-kind.

Moglea was launched in May of 2012 by Chad and Meg Gleason. After moving to Chad's family farm in Audubon, Iowa, they bought a century-old letterpress and started creating the Moglea line. Meg sought to bring unexpected processes like dip dye and hand painting to the fine stationery market.

Their artful stationery and product line is created by using hand-applied production processes to add one-of-a-kind elements to each product. The production team in their Iowa-based studio thoughtfully applies layers of paint to extra thick sheets of paper before cutting them down. Cards are dipped one at a time in custom blends of pigment and organic dyes. Each piece is finished on one of their antique presses where it is foil stamped, printed or die cut using traditional letterpress printing processes.

The Moglea line is a joyful exploration of composition, pattern and color. For each new release, Chad and Meg intentionally focus on adding unexpected production processes or visual ideas to the current collection. The result is a product line in which each piece feels like a work of art that is meant to be shared.

Moglea moved the business to Des Moines, Iowa in the fall of 2018 where they continue to manufacture hand painted paper goods. They are currently working on expanding the Moglea line to include furniture and home goods in 2021.
